VyperForge Privacy Policy
This policy explains how VyperForge handles personal data submitted through the private beta registration form, generated through beta licence activation and collected through beta telemetry.
Last updated: 20 July 2026
Who We Are
VyperForge operates the VyperForge website, private beta registration process and beta licensing service. For privacy questions, data requests or beta withdrawal requests, contact beta@vyperforge.com.
Data We Collect
When you register for the private beta, we collect your name, email address, company, job title, intended use, beta communication consent, privacy policy agreement, registration date and generated beta licence details.
When a beta licence is activated or validated, we process the licence key, machine hash, optional machine name, activation date, last seen date and deactivation date.
During beta use, VyperForge collects mandatory diagnostic, reliability and usage telemetry. This may include licence validation events, app version, build version, anonymised machine hash, feature or operation names, execution outcomes, object counts, timings, error codes and bounded sanitised error details.
VyperForge also records anonymous app launch telemetry. This uses a random installation identifier generated by the app and hashed by the service before storage. It records app version, build version, release channel and timestamp so we can understand launch counts and approximate unique installs without storing email address, licence key, machine name, machine hash, IP address or user-agent in the app launch record.
Telemetry is designed for beta quality and reliability analysis. New telemetry event records do not duplicate your email address. Telemetry is not intended to collect virtual machine names, customer data, usernames, email addresses, scripts, credentials, full file paths, file contents or raw business data.
How We Use Your Data
We use this data to process beta registrations, issue licence keys, send beta download links and important beta updates, manage activation limits, prevent duplicate registrations, support beta users and improve VyperForge during the beta programme.
We use beta telemetry to understand executions, objects created, failures, app reliability, compatibility, active app versions and which areas need attention before wider release.
Lawful Basis
We process beta registration, licence and required telemetry data because it is necessary to provide and operate the private beta. We use consent for beta communications and for your agreement to take part in the beta under this privacy policy.
Service Providers
We use Cloudflare to host the website, Worker and D1 database, Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the form from abuse, and Resend to send beta email communications. These providers process data only as needed to deliver those services.
Retention
We keep beta registration, consent and licence activation records for the duration of the beta programme and for a reasonable period afterwards to support users, manage licences, resolve disputes and maintain records of consent. You can ask to withdraw from the beta at any time.
Your Choices
You can request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data by contacting beta@vyperforge.com. You can also withdraw from the beta or ask us to stop beta communications. Telemetry is required for beta participation, so disabling telemetry may mean beta access cannot continue. Some records may need to be retained where required for security, legal or operational reasons.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect beta registration and licensing data. Secrets such as API keys and Turnstile keys are not stored in the website source code.
Changes
We may update this policy as the beta programme develops. If the change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify beta participants.
